Lusaka Institute Of Applied Sciences (L.I.A.S) is a private medical institution. It was the first private nursing institution in Zambia. It was founded in 2005 by a bio-medical scientist, the current chancellor, Mr Brighton Chellah, a lecturer at chainama college.
We were first known as Lusaka Nursing Institute (L.N.I) and later changed to Lusaka Institute Of Applied Sciences (L.I.A.S) in 2011 after the addiction to Clinical Medicine.
Our mission is to produce qualified, disciplined and highly competent health service providers that can be entrusted with managing public and primary health care for the Zambian Public.
The adoption of core values represents professionalism as part of a medical personnel’s commitment to competency, consistency, compassion in practice, and the highest standards of care in the ethical conduct of all health care providers. These values are shared by the institute and reflected in the rules of conduct
