Since 2005

Lusaka Institute Of Applied Sciences (L.I.A.S) is a private medical institution. It was the first private nursing institution in Zambia. It was founded in 2005 by a bio-medical scientist, the current chancellor, Mr Brighton Chellah, a lecturer at chainama college.

We were first known as Lusaka Nursing Institute (L.N.I) and later changed to Lusaka Institute Of Applied Sciences (L.I.A.S) in 2011 after the addiction to Clinical Medicine.

Health care is an art, science, and profession in which the relationships between the health care personnel and those cared for are essential.
